Publication design encompasses multi-page documents, such as annual reports, menus, booklets, catalogs, and magazine layouts. The driving force behind publication design is content delivery: visual organization of the written word and photographs or illustrations. At its heart is effective, engaging communication. Multi-page design requires strategy and a cohesive message: not to mention an innate understanding of pagination and the mechanics of printing. In short, a publication design has failed if no one wants to read it!

“Some books should be tasted, some devoured, but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly.” — Francis Bacon
